Stay, featuring yet another storming vocal performance from Chris
Willis, is David Guetta's new single and it's out through Virgin Records on
04 October 2004. The track is lifted from his latest album Guetta
Blaster, which was released on 20 September and includes collaborations with JD Davis, Miss Thing and Stereo MCs. Stay is another stomping dance
track with a more retro feel than some of David's previous offerings. It's
one of the tracks doing the rounds this summer, so you can bop along
to it both here and on other shores!
Hailing from Paris, David Guetta's style was born out of the 80s acid house
era, he was responsible for building the Parisian club scene and introducing
to France what is now considered the norm in clubland – the guest DJ. Guetta
ran the first nights at Les Bains-Douche and Rex, then went on to open the
infamous Le Queen creating a brand new movement in Paris inviting DJ
legends such as Little Louie Vega, David Morales, DJ Pierre and Roger
Sanchez to join him on the turntables. It was during this time that the
infamous Fuck Me I’m Famous parties were born.
